Lusaka Stock Exchange

The Lusaka Stock Exchange (LuSE) was established in 1993 with assistance from the World Bank and IFC. The Securities Act No 38 of 1993 regulates the entire Zambian securities market including the rules and listing requirements of the Lusaka Stock Exchange.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is given powers under the Securities Act to regulate and supervise the securities industry in Zambia.

The LuSE uses an automated trading system conducted in revalued Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) which operates between 10:00 and 13:00.
